On Thursday 20 August, local legend Nigel Howard sets off from Daylesford on the MND Beast Ride, more than 16,000 kilometres around Australia raising funds and awareness for MND research and honouring legends of our forestry industry. The night before he leaves, we're sending him off properly.

Wednesday 19 August is Steak Night with extra purpose: $20 from every steak sold goes straight to the cause, with steaks donated by Daylesford Meat Co. There's a fundraiser raffle on the night too, with serious prizes: a Husqvarna 122C trimmer valued at $399 donated by Daylesford Mower Shop, a ute load of firewood supplied by Gordon Chapman, and a slab of Loveshack. Nigel will be there with the bike, so come and have a yarn before he points it north.
