On the second Tuesday of every month, the beer garden belongs to gardeners.
Bring a cutting, a handful of seeds, surplus produce, flowers, a jar of something you made, or that plant you can’t name, and put it on the swap table. Take home what you like. Or bring nothing at all and just come.
Each night opens with what’s happening in local gardens this month, and you’ll take home a garden guide for the month ahead. There might be a guest grower, an open mic for your successes, failures and questions, and a round of plant bingo with prizes from The Diggers Club. Mostly, it’s time to talk gardens with people growing in the same climate and conditions as you.
Hosted together by gardening local and bestselling author Natasha Morgan, Gardenstead and The Diggers Club.
First night: Tuesday 10 November
Our guest is Julian Blackhurst, Head of Gardens at The Diggers Club and a Lyonville local, on the plants he grows together and why. We’ve also got one job for the night: naming the club. Best name wins a Diggers Club Seedling membership.
Who it’s for
Anyone in and around Daylesford who grows things, or wants to start. Beginners, renters with three pots, people with two acres, and people who’ve killed everything so far. No experience needed.
Free, and open to everyone
RSVP is essential so we can plan seating and staff.
