Our Friday Night Community Raffle has a new beneficiary, and this one is for the storytellers.

From Friday 24 July, 100% of raffle ticket sales goes to Words in Winter, the beloved volunteer-led literary festival that has called Daylesford and Hepburn home since 2002. Now in its 24th year, the festival returns to Djaara Country from 26 to 30 August under the theme Curiouser and Curiouser, with five days of conversations, readings, workshops and performances celebrating words in all their forms, from page to stage.

Every ticket you buy on a Friday night helps bring writers, readers and storytellers together across the twin towns this August. A meat tray in one hand, a good cause in the other. That's a Friday done properly.

The raffle kicks off at 5:30pm and is drawn at 7pm, every Friday in the lead-up to the festival. Prizes include our legendary meat tray and a rotating lineup of local goodness.
