Emily Davis Duo – Valentine’s Day Love In!

Daylesford Hotel bartender, Emily Davis, hangs up her apron for one night only to deliver an intimate live show of original music for the inaugural Valentine’s Day Love In.

Joined by long-time musical collaborator, stellar guitarist Emily A Smith (Newcastle), Davis will perform loved-up tunes from her critically acclaimed original songbook in Daylesford Hotel’s candle lit Bar Bamford. With performances described as “utterly absorbing” and “breathtaking”, Davis will pull out all the stops in acoustic duo format for the lovers, the hopeless romantics and the heartbroken.

Emily Davis blends eccentric country folk with gothic blues; crafting cinematic, confessional songs that echo the narrative tradition of Patti Griffin, Nick Cave and Tom Waits. Critics have praised her ‘sassy and syrupy’ voice (AU Review) and  described her spellbinding stage presence as ‘utterly absorbing’. Across three solo albums and four records with The Hushes, Davis has been quietly disarming audiences across stages and borders, performing everywhere from WOMADelaide to Germany’s Breminale Festival.
