We just can't stop celebrating, so this year we're not stopping for a whole week.

The DH turns two, and from Monday 24 to Sunday 30 August the pub is in full birthday mode. Every evening, buy a drink between 5 and 6pm and receive a token. At 6pm one name comes out, and that lucky soul spins the Wheel of Birthday Prizes. Seven days, seven spins, seven winners.

There's birthday cake on the menu all week and a birthday cocktail to raise alongside it. Details soon, and they'll be worth the wait.

Then the weekend goes up a gear. Friday 28, Sparkles rolls into Bar Bamford with crates of vinyl from 8pm. Saturday 29, the Birthday Bash takes over the Public Bar with Mark Smith on the decks until nobody cares what time it is. Both free, both loud, both exactly what a second birthday deserves.
