This month we’re proud to support The Good Grub Club Daylesford, a local charity working hard to ease the financial pressures on our community by providing essential food services. Every week, they serve a healthy hot lunch, deliver hampers filled with fresh local produce, and offer home-cooked frozen meals to those in need. With around 100 people benefiting from their support each week, this not-for-profit relies on fundraising to keep doing their incredible work.

New Year’s Day-lesford on the Balcony goes up a notch in 2025 because we’re bringing in the big gun: DJ Joey Lightbulb.

Tonight (and for the following 3 Friday nights) we’re rallying behind Wombat Fight Club - Daylesford—our spirited local boxing club that’s as inclusive as it is invigorating. With $5 sessions open to all, no experience or commitment required, it’s a hub of community, where fitness, friendship, and a hearty dose of mental well-being come together. Whether you’re perfecting your right hook or simply seeking a lift in spirits and a sense of community, Wombat Fight Club has a place for you. So, lace up those boots and join the fun—your chance to win awaits!

This festive season, the Daylesford Hotel will team up with Cliffy’s Emporium in Daylesford to proudly present our much-anticipated Christmas Raffle – a cherished tradition with a meaningful mission.

The proceeds from this year’s raffle will directly support our local Country Fire Authority (CFA) brigades including Daylesford, Hepburn, Franklinford, Glenlyon, Musk, Leonards Hill and Porcupine Ridge - the dedicated heroes who tirelessly safeguard our community. From extinguishing fires to assisting during emergencies, they are the backbone of our safety, investing countless hours in training, preparedness, and response.

Our entire community from throughout the entire Daylesford and Hepburn Shire have dug deep to contribute donations and vouchers for original works of art; holiday accommodation; restaurant and cafe vouchers, gourmet hampers; local wines, spirits and beers; spa, beauty and massage vouchers; retail shopping; tourist attractions and more.

Each bundle is put together to give each lucky winner a wide range of prizes from across our region. 

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve already raised over $70,000 for this vital cause, and this year, we’re aiming to surpass $100,000!

Then on Christmas Morning, join the community at Cliffy’s to enjoy your favourite hot & cold refreshments and a breakfast BBQ, and some cheeky Mimosa’s & Kir Royales (from 10am) for those who like to kick off the silly season early. Santa and the CFA will be there to get everyone in the mood and all proceeds will go to the CFA Fundraiser.
